Setting your brand up online is only the beginning – how do you start to generate sales? An aesthetic feed and a unique selling point can only get you so far – this is why trust and value is key. When you show your face online you want people to trust that you are genuine and see value in your product or service!

1. Keep sharing about you and who you are

Don’t be afraid to share your hobbies and beliefs! Share your occupation, your relationships, your goals and your likes and dislikes. People will either relate or enjoy seeing your content! This is the best way to create a like-minded community of people who stand for the same things as you. If people know you are genuine and passionate, this will reflect your brand. Think about the people you follow and interact with online – how much of that is down to what they’re selling? Many celebrities and influencers launch brands after they have built the community – and it works! This is because people know them, trust them and like who they are.

2. Make sure your messaging is clear and consistent

Sales type posts can be a great way to start, but they do not show the full picture. People want to see the goings on behind the glossy finished product or service. Show what you do at work, your favourite part of your job, the clients and customers you’ve helped and the value you can bring to potential buyers! View your offering as a solution to others, why should they buy this, how can they buy this, and what changes will they notice to their problems when they do?
